Disney (NYSE: DIS ) may be a cash cow, but that doesn't mean its growth has slowed. Excluding items that affect comparability, EPS for the company's second quarter of 2013 increased 36% from the year-ago quarter. That is an impressive number for a company that has been publicly traded for more than five decades. But with shares nearly doubling the return of the S&P 500 in the trailing 12 months, it's time to revisit its valuation.
Riding the recovery
In any valuation, it's important to play the role of devil's advocate, especially when you're facing meaningful, double-digit growth rates. In that spirit, it's useful to keep in mind that Disney is not immune to tough times. When consumers face tough times, so does Disney.
Case in point, Disney's operating margin and free cash flow during the recession.

With the stock market reaching all-time record highs (S&P 500: 1900), you would think there would be a lot of cheers, high-fiving, and back slapping. Instead, investors are ignoring the sunny, blue skies and taking off their rose-colored glasses. Rather than securely sleeping like a baby (or relaxing during a three-day weekend) with their investment accounts, people are biting their fingernails with clenched teeth, while searching for a market boogeyman in their closets or under their beds.If you don believe me, all you have to do is pick up the paper, turn on the TV, or walk over to the office water cooler. An avalanche of scary headlines that are spooking investors include geopolitical concerns in Ukraine & Thailand, slowing housing statistics, bearish hedge fund managers (i.e., Tepper Einhorn, Cooperman), declining interest rates, and collapsing internet stocks. In other words, investors are looking for things to worry about, despite record corporate profits and stock prices. Peter Lynch, the manager of the Magellan Fund that posted +2,700% in gains from 1977-1990, put short-term stock price volatility into perspective:ou shouldn worry about it. You should worry what are stocks going to be 10 years from now, 20 years from now, 30 years from now.ather than focusing on immediate stock market volatility and other factors out of your control, why not prioritize your time on things you can control. What investors can control is their asset allocation and spending levels (budget), subject to their personal time horizons and risk tolerances. Circumstances always change, but if people spent half the time on investing that they devoted to planning holiday vacations, purchasing a car, or choosing a school for their child, then retirement would be a lot less stressful. After realizing 99% of all the short-term news is nonsensical noise, the next important realization is stocks are volatile securities, which frequently go down -10 to -20%. As much

Advisors' Opinion:- [By James E. Brumley]
Cancer drug investors who have been disappointed in recent results from shares of Clovis Oncology Inc. (NASDAQ:CLVS) or Nuvilex Inc. (OTCMKTS:NVLX) lately may want to take a look at ZIOPHARM Oncology Inc. (NASDAQ:ZIOP) as a replacement for either of those first two stocks. CLVS is down about 16% for the week on a less-than-flattering write-up in a Bloomberg publication, and NVLX has moved under a pair of key moving averages this week because, well, for no specific reason, but broadly because the recent wave of compelling news is already losing its potency, with most of that upside already being priced into shares (and then some) before it became official.

Back on July 16th, I pointed out ZIOPHARM Oncology Inc. (NASDAQ:ZIOP) was a budding superstar. Though I suggested waiting for the stock to cool off before stepping into it (and it did cool off, by the way), ZIOP has since walked its way above the key line in the sand that was acting like a ceiling then. Though there's still one more hurdle shares need to clear before being a "must-have" stock, the heavy lifting's been done.

Four months ago, you could barely give your shares of ZIOPHARM Oncology Inc. (NASDAQ:ZIOP) away. The company announced s on Tuesday, March 26th, that its sarcoma drug Palifosfamide had failed to meet its Phase 3 goals. Shares of ZIOP plunged from $5.13 to $1.82 in a mere day, and were trading as low as $1.51 a week and a half later.

Advisors' Opinion:- [By Amanda Alix]
Insurance companies have created an entire industry based upon risk, and except for AIG (NYSE: AIG ) during the financial crisis, it has worked out pretty well. So, it's not a stretch to imagine a large life insurer like Canada's Sun Life Financial (NYSE: SLF ) assuming the pension liability for the Canadian Wheat Board's defined benefit plan in a recent $147 million deal, the first such accord in Canada's history.

Over the next five years growth in the Asian market will likely boost the overall modest premium growth rate, averaging it at 2%, while the total revenue CAGR recovers to 3% after the steep declines reported since 2012. Furthermore, Manulife ROE will continue its current upward trend, increasing from 2013 10.9% to an average 12% by 2018, accompanied by the steadily expanding net margins of 16.8%. While it will take some time for the company growth to accelerate, I feel bullish about management optimism regarding its business shift, and see the dividend yield and returns on equity as solid benefits for a long term investment. Moreover, the firm is currently trading at a 10% price discount relative to the industry average of 14.0x, making it a relatively inexpensive buy.

Tableau Software (DATA) provides various business analytics software products in the U.S., Canada and internationally. This stock closed up 3.1% at $76.20 in Friday's trading session.
Friday's Volume: 2.76 million
Three-Month Average Volume: 1.20 million
Volume % Change: 185%From a technical perspective, DATA popped notably higher here right above some near-term support at $72.05 with above-average volume. This stock has been downtrending badly for the last month and change, with shares moving lower from its high of $102.37 to its recent low of $72.05. During that downtrend, shares of DATA have been consistently making lower highs and lower lows, which is bearish technical price action. That said, shares of DATA have now started to move into oversold territory, since its current relative strength index reading is 32.03. Oversold can always get more oversold, but it's also an area where a stock can make a powerful rebound higher from.
Traders should now look for long-biased trades in DATA as long as it's trending above some near-term support at $72.05 or above its 200-day moving average of $70.13 and then once it sustains a move or close above Friday's high of $76.20 with volume that this near or above 1.20 million shares. If that move gets underway soon, then DATA will set up to re-test or possibly take out its next major overhead resistance levels at $80 to its 50-day moving average of $87.22.

In addition, the IPO of Tableau Software (NYSE: DATA ) has returned attention to the sector. With Tableau having gained 64% on its first day of trading, investors clearly have strong expectations for the company, which specializes in data visualization. In particular, Tableau has gross margins that put even Splunk's near-90% figures to shame, and if Tableau can retain that advantage, it could pose a long-term threat to Splunk.

Tableau Software (NYSE: DATA ) , one of this year's most exciting new IPOs, burst onto the scene with two straight days of surging stock prices. There's much to like about the business of data visualization, so keep an eye on this stock.
